In a new interview, Mathew Knowles, 63, claimed his 34-year-old daughter Beyoncé is actually age 36 or 37 — two or three years older than we think she is!

“[Destiny’s Child] had a competitiveness, L.A. Reid had a rival girl group at the time, and I’ll bet you don’t know who the lead singer was.. It was Pink! And she was the exact same age as Beyoncé. Then you had Usher, who was the same age, they were all 14 or 15 years old, living in Atlanta,” he recently told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club of his famous daughter’s career beginnings.

So according to Mathew, Beyoncé is the “exact same age” as Pink, 36, and Usher, 37. Though the “Crazy In Love” singer’s father probably just misspoke, this isn’t the first time her age has been questioned.

In a 2008 interview, actress Gabrielle Union, 42 — who is eight years older than Beyoncé — similarly claimed she and the superstar are the same age and have been friends “since they were teenagers.”
